Mayflower Smart Control are delighted to announce Barry Ayling as our new UK Business Development Manager. Barry will be focused on developing the Mayflower profile across the UK and Ireland and presenting our latest Smart City innovations to market.
Barry brings with him a wealth of experience in lighting, having worked in the industry for over 20 years. Throughout his career he has worked in a variety of roles including client, consultant and contractor. Barry joins us from SSE Enterprise, where he was employed as Lighting Design Manager, upholding responsibility for both energy saving and smart connected lighting projects across the UK.
Patrick Mitchell, Head of Mayflower Smart Control, said: “Barry is a highly-experienced lighting professional that understands the complexity of challenges faced within the lighting industry. One of Mayflower’s primary functions is reducing the energy consumption and carbon emissions of local authorities, and it is great to have someone with Barry’s level of experience in this field join us.
Our Smart City proposition is progressing day-by-day with the installation of new sensor trials and our Smart City Platform development; it is a very exciting time for Barry to be joining the team and we are very much looking forward to being able to offer clients a full Smart City solution in due course.”
Barry will be representing Mayflower Smart Control at the ILP Professional Lighting Summit next week in Newcastle (12 – 13 June). Over the course of the exhibition he will be at stand number 3 along with Technical Sales Manager, Stephen Green, to discuss our latest technology developments with clients, partners and colleagues.
Mayflower would like to welcome Barry to the UK team, and wish him every success in his new role.
